Our Story
About Evermoore Acres
A living forest preserve in East Windsor, Connecticut — where native trees grow naturally, develop strong root systems, and wait for the right property to call home.
Bridging the Gap Between New Construction and Mature Landscape
Evermoore Acres exists to solve a problem that every new homeowner and developer faces: the decades-long wait for a mature landscape. We believe that when a home or commercial property is built, the surrounding land deserves more than sapling-sized promises.
Our preserve grows large-caliper, field-established native trees specifically for relocation — giving property owners the ability to plant decades of growth in a single day. What would normally take 20 to 30 years of patience happens in a single morning.
We're not just selling trees. We're delivering established ecosystems — complete with the root architecture, canopy structure, and biological resilience that only years of natural growth can produce.
Why Mature Canopy Matters
A 30-foot oak does far more than look impressive. It provides immediate shade that reduces cooling costs by up to 25%, anchors soil against erosion, filters stormwater naturally, and creates habitat for wildlife from day one.
Nursery saplings take 15 to 25 years to provide these benefits. Our trees deliver them the moment they're planted. The environmental, aesthetic, and financial returns begin immediately — not in a generation.
Research shows that mature trees can increase property values by 10–15%, reduce air conditioning needs significantly, and absorb hundreds of gallons of stormwater per rainfall event. Every tree we relocate is already performing at this level.
Our Core Values
Everything we do at Evermoore Acres is guided by a commitment to quality, ecology, and lasting impact.
Ecological Integrity
We grow exclusively native species in natural conditions, preserving the genetic heritage and ecological relationships that Connecticut's ecosystems depend on.
Honest Partnership
We walk the property with every client, explain what each tree needs, and only recommend specimens that will genuinely thrive in their intended location.
Long-Term Thinking
We invest years of careful stewardship into every tree so that our clients receive specimens built for decades of performance, not just a season of curb appeal.
The Preserve Model
Our 20-acre property isn't a conventional nursery. It's a managed ecosystem with distinct growing zones, each producing trees adapted to specific conditions. This diversity means we can match the right tree to the right site — every time.
🌊 Wetland Groves
Trees adapted to moist soils and seasonal flooding. Ideal for properties near water features, ponds, or low-lying areas where drainage is a consideration.
🌳 Upland Hardwood Stands
Classic New England hardwoods growing in well-drained soil. The backbone of residential shade tree selection — oaks, maples, and more.
☀️ Open-Canopy Meadows
Specimen trees with full-sun exposure, developing wide, symmetrical canopies perfect for focal points in open landscapes and large yards.
🌲 Mixed Native Borders
Dense plantings that demonstrate how native species work together — excellent inspiration for privacy screens, windbreaks, and naturalized borders.

The People Behind the Trees
Evermoore Acres is a partnership between two people who share a vision for what Connecticut's landscape could become.
Tim Moore
Tim manages the Evermoore Acres property and oversees all tree cultivation, selection, and relocation operations. With deep knowledge of Connecticut's native species and soils, his hands-on approach ensures every tree that leaves the preserve is ready to thrive in its new home. Tim's vision for the preserve was born from a simple belief: property owners shouldn't have to wait a generation for shade.
Brian Barnicle
Brian brings landscape design expertise and ecological knowledge to the partnership through Grow Wild. Together with Tim, he ensures trees are matched to the right sites and planted for long-term success. Brian's background in ecological design means every relocation considers not just aesthetics, but soil conditions, drainage patterns, sun exposure, and the broader ecosystem context.
How Evermoore Acres Grew
From a vision for Connecticut's landscape to a thriving 20-acre preserve.
The Vision Takes Root
Tim Moore acquires the East Windsor property with a clear purpose: create a living preserve where native trees can grow naturally to maturity, ready for relocation.
Building the Ecosystem
Years of careful planting and stewardship transform the property into diverse ecological zones — wetland groves, upland stands, and open meadows.
The Grow Wild Partnership
Brian Barnicle joins forces with Tim, bringing landscape design expertise and ecological knowledge. Together they create a complete tree-to-property pipeline.
Serving Connecticut
Today, Evermoore Acres serves homeowners, contractors, and developers across Connecticut, delivering mature native trees with the root systems and canopy structure that only field-growing can produce.
