Our crew carefully excavates each tree with its full root ball, transports it to your property, and installs it with precision. Decades of growth, delivered in hours.
The Field-Grown Advantage
Unlike container-grown nursery stock, every tree at Evermoore Acres grows in the ground from day one. That means expansive root systems, natural trunk taper, and canopies shaped by real Connecticut weather.
When we relocate a tree to your property, you're not getting a sapling — you're getting a specimen that's already weathered nor'easters and thrived through New England summers. The result is a tree with the structural integrity and established root architecture that container-grown stock simply cannot replicate.
Our field-grown approach produces trees with root systems three to five times larger than containerized equivalents, giving them a dramatic head start in establishment and long-term resilience on your property.
What Makes This Different
A Working Forest, Not a Nursery
Evermoore Acres is a 20-acre living preserve in East Windsor, Connecticut, founded and managed by Tim Moore and Brian Barnicle. Our trees grow in diverse ecological zones — wetland groves, upland hardwood stands, and open-canopy meadows.
This isn't a traditional nursery with rows of potted stock. It's a managed landscape where native species develop naturally, building the root architecture and structural resilience that make successful relocation possible.
Every tree on our preserve is carefully monitored, pruned, and maintained to ensure it develops the form, branching structure, and root health needed for successful transplanting. We invest years of stewardship so your trees arrive ready to thrive.
Why This Matters in Connecticut
Mature trees are one of the most effective tools for combating climate change, managing stormwater, and restoring native ecosystems. Every tree we relocate contributes immediately.
Instant Carbon Capture
A mature tree absorbs up to 48 pounds of CO₂ per year — starting from the day it's planted on your property, not decades from now.
Stormwater Management
Large canopies intercept rainfall and extensive root systems absorb groundwater, reducing runoff and protecting Connecticut's waterways.
Wildlife Habitat
Native oaks, maples, and sycamores provide food and shelter for hundreds of species of birds, pollinators, and wildlife from their very first season.
"We don't just grow trees — we grow ecosystems. Every tree that leaves this preserve carries with it decades of natural development that you simply can't replicate any other way."— Tim Moore, Co-Founder, Evermoore Acres
Connecticut Native Species
Every tree we grow is native to the Northeast and proven in Connecticut's climate and soil conditions.
🍂 Red Oak
Fast-establishing shade tree with brilliant fall color. Grows to 60–75ft with a broad, rounded crown. Exceptional for residential shade and curb appeal.
🌿 White Oak
The long-lived anchor tree. Massive spreading canopy with exceptional storm resistance, wildlife value, and the kind of stature that defines a property for generations.
🍁 Sugar Maple
New England's signature tree. Dense canopy delivers superior shade with iconic orange-red fall foliage that transforms any streetscape or backyard.
🌷 Tulip Poplar
Fastest-growing native hardwood. Tall, straight form with unique tulip-shaped flowers in spring. An excellent choice for quick canopy establishment.
🌊 American Sycamore
Dramatic white bark and enormous leaves. Thrives near water and provides massive canopy coverage. A bold statement tree for large properties.
Eastern Red Cedar
Hardy year-round evergreen with dense, aromatic foliage. Provides exceptional winter screening and wildlife habitat. One of Connecticut's most resilient native conifers.
